I grew up reading books about space-faring humans and unbelievable creatures having fantastic adventures in distant future and far-flung regions of the universe. I fell in love with the remarkable characters and worlds those authors envisioned. Those stories made me want to write.

I can’t recall a time in my life when I wasn’t wondering about the universe. I remember being ten or so years old and thinking that I’d go mad because I couldn’t wrap my head around the idea of an entire universe originating from nothing. Decades later, I’m still mystified by the the Big Bang Theory, but I’ve since discovered that imagining is far more entertaining than knowing.

“Love. Fall in love and stay in love. Write only what you love, and love what you write. The key word is love. You have to get up in the morning and write something you love, something to live for.”
