Imagining is far more entertaining than knowing.

I have this memory of  sitting on my great-uncle’s verandah as a kid, watching Star Trek TNG, for the very first time and hearing Captain Jean Luc Picard speak of exploring strange, new worlds, seeking out new life and new civilizations, of boldly going where no one had gone before. It was electrifying. I was somewhere between eight and ten years old, that day I fell deeply in love with speculative fiction...
