Tonya R. Moore writes and edits science fiction and fantasy stories and poetry.

She has written professionally for companies such as the Paidia Gaming platform and Publishers Weekly. She is a member of SFWA, Codex, and the Speculative Literature Foundation.

Tonya also enjoys reading books, watching anime and live action SF movies and television series.

She began gaming in 2023 and streams cozy and survival games such as Palia, Palworld, No Man’s Sky, and The Planet Crafter on Twitch.

Tonya grew up on the island of Jamaica. She migrated to the USA in 1997 and has been writing speculative fiction part-time since 2009. Her other jobs have included US Army soldier, police dispatcher, office administrator, and call center operator. She is currently a behavioral health credentialing specialist working for a multi-state non-profit.

Tonya’s science fiction-horror short story, Water Baby, was published in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction’s Summer 2024 issue. Her short story, Anansi and the Astronaut, was published in M.V. Media’s Spacefunk! Anthology.
