Tonya R. Moore is a Jamaican speculative fiction writer and editor based in Florida. She is the Poetry Editor at Solarpunk Magazine and a co-editor of The Cookout anthology.
Her published works include Water Baby, published in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction (F&SF) and Anansi and the Astronaut, published in the Spacefunk! Anthology. Her forthcoming short story, The Nth Verse will be published in the Forged in FIYAH anthology from TOR Books in September of 2026.
Tonya was a Voodoonauts 2022 Fellow and a Runner-up for the 2022 Analog Award for Emerging Black Voices. She was team member of the 2021 Hugo Award winning and 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 nominee for Best Semiprozine, FIYAH Literary Magazine (Poetry Acquiring Editor, 2022-2025 and Guest Editor of Issue 30, Spring 2024).
She is a member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers Association (SFWA) and the Association of Writers & Writing Programs (AWP).
